Bestcaster – My First Strat Build
On MLK day I had the day off of work, and I spent the morning finishing the wiring and setup of my very first custom built stratocaster. Note: this is not the first Strat I have owned. I have owned a few different mexican made Strats and I currently have a super limited edition american designer series. I have been wanting to build my own strat a la Eric Clapton's blackie (which is a composite of 3 stats). Strats are a bunch of small pieces simply bolted together to create an iconic guitar. On Saturday I finally got to do a 4x (Four-Cross) mountain bike race. I have been jonesing to do one of these for a long time, and this was the first opportunity I had to do one. I had been amped up to do this race since I heard about it, but I was tired from my Moab trip. I had been out the night before, and sleeping in sounded really good. Sarah talked me in to getting out of bed and going to do this. She knows me so well, she knew how bummed I would be if I ...

Its sore as hell, but its not causing me problems. At this very second, I am exhausted, beaten up, bruised, and homesick. I mean I love riding my bike in fabulous locations, but I like to come home to my own bed and my own life. I am glad riding season is over for the most part. I have ...
